Akiki has 35 years of experience in the electronics and semiconductor industry, including executive positions with IBM, Qualcomm and Siemens. He’s currently president of Joun Technologies, a San Diego-based consulting firm. His areas of expertise include 5G technology, smart/connected devices, internet of things, digital transformation, and semiconductor design and manufacturing trends. He earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical and computer engineering from Clarkson University in New York and a master’s in electrical engineering as well as an MBA from the University of Vermont.
